Quik Guide to Cop-R-Quik on Citrus
We recommend Cop-R-Quik applications before every major flush. Post bloom, summer flush, and late summer flush – mainly during the rainy season. Leaf samples should be monitored and copper levels should be maintained at 40-80 ppm. Initial applications where Canker is present should be 12 oz per acre – with additional applications of 6 – 12 oz of Cop-R-Quik per acre, not to exceed 48 ounces per acre per year.
At labeled rates, Cop-R-Quik applications may stimulate the abscission of damaged or diseased leaves. This is a natural and beneficial process whereby the plant’s natural defense mechanisms are stimulated to remove, not only the diseased leaves, but also the inoculums which caused the disease to begin with. This and all other nutritional products should be used in conjunction with a comprehensive leaf tissue and soil analysis regimen to uncover and correct nutrient deficiencies.
